EURAXESS Links North America is organising on 24 September a SCIENCE SLAM EVENT at the American University in Washington DC. A Science Slam is scientific talk where scientists present their own scientific research work in a given time frame - usually 10 minutes or less - in front of a mixed audience. The focus lies on teaching current science to a diverse audience in an entertaining way.
The competition is open to researchers based in North America regardless of their nationality or field of research. Up to 7 entries will be invited to join the EURAXESS Science Slam North America 2013 at the American University. The winner of the competition will be granted with a free round trip ticket to Brussels, Belgium, to participate in the European Union's funded Conference 'EURAXESS VOICE OF THE RESEARCHERS' next 21-22 November 2013.
