Identifying knowledge gaps for the Climate Action and Resource Efficiency Challenge in Horizon 2020

Aarhus University and the Partnership for European Environmental Research (PEER) invite researchers to Aarhus University on the October 3-4, 2013 in order to take stock of and assess the scientific progress towards tackling the grand environmental challenges, as specified in the Horizon 2020 challenge: Climate action, resource efficiency and raw materials

This Workshop aims at addressing new trends and recent advances in the characterization of dissolved organic matter (DOM) in marine and inland waters, using spectroscopic techniques associated with advanced signal and image processing tools. It will be the second international workshop dedicated to DOM spectroscopy. The preceding edition of WOMS took place in Granada (Spain) in 2010.

The event focused on the Atlantic Strategy and associated Action Plan.  Recognising the essential role of international partnership to achieve shared objectives and the potential of greater cooperation to advance our knowledge of the Atlantic Ocean, international partners were invited to contribute to tackling the challenges confronting the citizens of the North Atlantic coastal states.

The 4th INCO Conference and the annual NCP meeting will take place on 17-19 June 2013 in Marseille, France.This conference is being held as a part of “INCONTACT-One World” project which is the official network of the FP7 INCO NCPs.
