Quantitative real-time multi-spectral optoacoustic tomography

Multi-spectral optoacoustic tomography (MSOT) is a biomedical imaging modality which offers a combination of molecular sensitivity, penetration depth, and resolution which are unparalleled in the field biomedical instrumentation. Nonetheless, the long acquisition time associated with MSOT and difficulties in quantifying the images it produces currently limit its possible applications.
