Inventory

An inventory has been established and is constantly updated with the purpose of finding synergies with other existing cooperation projects and enhance each others visibility.

The following categories have been collected among others:

• National thematic task force/working group in the U.S.
(Task forces are unique formations established to work on a single defined task or activity. Working groups are interdisciplinary collaborations of researchers working on new research activities that would be difficult to develop under traditional funding mechanisms.)
• Thematic task force/working group in EU
• Joint U.S.-EU thematic task force/working group
• ERA-NET
(ERA-NET projects aim to develop and strengthen the coordination of national and regional research programmes. Under this scheme, national and regional authorities identify research programmes they wish to coordinate or open up mutually.)
• NoE (A Network of Excellence is an instrument for strengthening excellence by tackling the fragmentation of European research, where the main deliverable is a durable structuring and shaping of the way that research is carried out on the topic of the network.)
• Projects supported by DG RELEX (Directorate-General for External Relations)
• FP7 project with U.S. partner
(Projects funded by the Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development of the European Commission)
• Others
